ADHD in Adults Assessment



A physical exam is a good way to rule out medical problems that resemble ADHD, such as seizure or thyroid disorder. The doctor may also talk to an intimate friend or family member to gain an understanding of the patient's life, which questionnaires can't provide.



Adults must show more symptoms than children to be diagnosed with ADHD.
