Hob induction

Induction hobs function in a slightly different manner to other types of hob. Induction hobs make use of electromagnetic currents instead of heating an ring to warm a pan. They are very efficient as you can turn the oven on and start cooking within minutes.

For an induction hob you will require cookware that has magnetic bases. It could be stainless steel or iron. A copper wire coil is placed beneath the glass ceramic surface.
